Phase One

Preserving the existing War Memorial Hall,
while renovating the building fabric and energy use,
a two phased extension enwraps the building.

The Hall is gutted and renovated, with new ancilliary spaces created
to revitalise the community resource.

The precise zinc roof,
elegantly exposed rhythmic structure,
and uninterrupted clerestoreys,
stand out as contemporary
versus
the traditional harled masonry walls and pitched slate roof.
